Welcome To My Website!

Hello, My name is Joan Colling and I have worked as a Crainosacral Therapist for over eighteen years. I have also worked in the educational sector and my role there was supporting and teaching adults who have learning difficulties and disabilities, also young adults who have emotional and social behaviour issues.

In July 2003 I qualified as a Craniosacral Therapist at the College of Craniosacral Therapy (CCST). Over the years I have continued with my education to broaden my understanding and knowledge about  mental, emotional and physical connections and how they all relate together for the health and vitality of the body. I also have a desire to help people with their pain and I would like to show them that recovery and healing from most form of pain does not have to mean - no pain no gain.

My understanding through working with Craniosacral Therapy is that most physical pain in the body comes down to tightness held within the soft tissues restrictions, otherwise known as tightness. The human body is entirely connected to the point that the pain you may have in one area might have its origin elsewhere within the body due to the soft tissue connections. Even when the joints get out of alignment what I have noticed, is that most of the cause was the soft tissue tightness. Once the tightness is released so too is most of the pain. While working together with the client’s and Craniosacral therapy l have discovered that nearly all pains or disfunction originate in the soft tissues tightness of the body and my specialty is to find and release this tightness when listening to the body’s own natural abilities. When working with Craniosacral therapy I love what I do, and I am whole heartedly dedicated to assisting others on their journey to a pain free healing transformation.
