How Can A Craniosacral Therapy Treatment Help Me?

Some of my clients who have experienced Craniosacral Therapy, said that it has been helpful in the following conditions:

  • Alleviates or Releases Physical Pain
  • Reduces Stress Levels
  • Supports Emotional Issues
  • Re-establishing Energy Levels
  • Supports General Well being
  • Deeper Levels of Relaxation

WHAT HAPPEN S IN A CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY SESSION?

A Craniosacral therapy  session is a safe and quiet space where you and your body can relax. In response to the light contacts used by a Craniosacral therapist during a treatment, old painful patterns of tension and restrictions can begin to dissolve and release which may results in  general feeling of well-being. This therapy is suitable from new born babies to the elderly as it gives a comfortable feeling of expansion and softening throughout the body while its aims to promotes a healthy functioning within the body own natural processes. It' has a particular benefit for the young and the elderly as it has a gentle touch and is a non-invasive treatment.

The Craniosacral Therapy session takes place with you lying on a couch fully clothed and care is taken that each touch is comfortable throughout the session. The therapist either sits or stands and makes light contacts to various places on the body, (mainly cranium or sacrum). If you are unable to lie down a treatment can be given in a chair.

ANY CONTRA-INDICATIONS?
Depending on your symptoms you may be asked at your first session whether you have consulted your GP or you may be recommended to do so before treatment can take place. Craniosacral Therapy does not seek to replace conventional medicine but can work successfully alongside it. With alternative and complementary medicine there is occasionally a period of adjustment, after the treatment when minor discomfort may occur as a result of the healing processes being activated. It is generally short lived and usually seen as a sign of positive natural re-balancing of the body and its systems.
